| REIKI Rei (ray) meaning Universal Ki (kee) meaning Life Force or Energy An ancient hands-on healing art that was re-discovered and revived by Dr Mikao Usui in Japan at the end of the nineteenth century. Reiki is drawn through the practitioner to those parts of the recipient's body that require it. The energy is often described as being "warm" and promoting an overwhelming feeling of peace and wellbeing. Reiki often increases mental clarity, restores emotional balance and deepens the spiritual connection. The changes may be subtle initially but eventually you should enjoy life more and get closer to your true life's purpose. To fully appreciate the Reiki healing experience, please prepare mentally and physically beforehand. It is advisable to allow an hour after eating prior to treatment and avoid alcohol that day. Spend a couple of minutes taking in a few deep, slow breaths; visualise drawing in a bright golden light slowly filling your entire body. Water is offered before and after each treatment.
